SpectraFlow Analytics (SFA) — is the first company in the global mining industry to use near-infrared (NIR) technology for real-time (online) elemental analysis of bulk materials in flow. The combination of this highly sensitive analysis method and the latest Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer ensures exceptional accuracy of analytical results.
Measurement Principle
Halogen lamps emit light in the near-infrared range. This light is directed at the material, which absorbs part of its energy at specific wavelengths with characteristic intensity, depending on its mineralogical composition.
The FTIR spectrometer continuously scans the surface, analyzing absorption and intensity in the near-infrared spectrum. The scan results are averaged over minute intervals, and the final data is sent to the system’s control software.
Signals received from the IR detector are processed in the system controller using Fourier transformation.
